Our history

The first Royal Ball.

Cincy Royal Ball began in 2019 as a cash-prize tournament benefiting Friars Club. The champions took home $5,000. The remaining proceeds went to Friars Club and Holy Hooper Inc.

The 2027 league

Six invited teams will compete in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the inaugural Cincy Royal Ball league season. The league tips off June 26, 2027, and crowns its first champion on August 14.

Who the league benefits.

Cincinnati families can watch every Royal Ball game for free. For kids who want to play, Holy Hooper Inc., the nonprofit behind the league, offers free coaching and mentorship through the Jordon Crawford Basketball Camp. The league also plans to bring young players onto the court for player-led clinics.
